Sand Mother was born from a moment of pure connection on the Aegean island of Chios, under the golden hues of a perfect sunset. After a long afternoon by the shore, our one-year-old daughter was playing in the sand, completely at peace. With her tiny hands clutching a pair of slippers, she made her way to the water’s edge. Then, with a sense of trust and wonder, she let them go, embracing the sand and sea with pure delight.

In that moment, I felt the essence of motherhood nurturing, protecting, and then stepping back to watch her explore the world on her own terms. The beach became more than just a place; it was a reminder of the way a mother holds, guides, and ultimately lets go.
